Favorite lunch right now

Food for Life Brown Rice Tortilla
Hummus spread (been using lemon or tomato/basil)
two slices of cheese
3 stackers pickles
(turkey if I have it - otherwise, the above on it's own is good!)

Weird right?  I find that microwaving the tortilla wrap for 30 seconds on a plate, and putting the hummus on with the cheese & probably the juice from the pickles, helps to keep the wrap in one piece - no cracking. i also keep it in a sandwich tupperware instead of a baggie.

I am addicted to this for lunch - have eaten it every day for a week! i'll probably be sick of it next week.

When I bought that brand a few years ago I found them to be dry and easily cracked. Have they changed their formula? Oh, and they were sold out of the cold case at the store and I kept them in the fridge at home. Could that have been my problem?

Hey Amanda -- you know what, I have mixed luck with this product. Sometimes they crack, sometimes they don't -- I can't tell if it's how I'm preparing them or just getting a good batch.

I also keep them in my fridge...

Another product I tried that was REALLY good about not cracking I wrote about here:

They're also made with teff, so you get some good nutritional value there....

Oh, and by the way -- I had a really easy time with eating while in Maui in August! We had a blast, didn't get sick once, found lots of good gf products in the supermarkets -- the Paia fish market was my favorite place we went to eat!

i was telling hte poster above about Sonoma's GF teff wraps, and they were great - but i've only seen them in the store once, here was the link:

Allie, what did you eat at Paia Fish Market? I've been avoiding it for 2 years now.

Hey Amanda--- I had the grilled fish tacos, they said they wouldnt bread the fish, just grill -- and they had corn tortillas..... didn't get sick, and they were sooooo good. I probably should have asked more about cross-contamination though... Allie

Ugh, I absolutely love these!!! and have been eating them instead of GF bread for awhile now. I am wondering if they tinkered with the formula though as the last 3 packs I bought (and some friends tried) all cracked...sad yes, but it wont stop me eating them haha
